My name is Brenda Rodefer and I was born and raised in Two Rivers, Wisconsin. I was blessed with amazing parents who fostered my love of music since I was in 3rd grade. I started to play the organ in church when I was 12, took private lessons on piano and organ into college and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Cardinal Stritch University. At past parishes I have had experience in a number of aspects of liturgy and currently am furthering my education through Notre Dame University.
Many of you have heard me play at the 4:30 p.m. Mass on Saturday and have seen me with my husband, Craig. On Good Friday of 1998, Craig was in a bad car accident when a truck t-boned him. We were married for almost 7 years at the time and for the past 21 years I have been his primary caregiver while also working full-time. Our already strong faith became stronger, along with our love for each other. We also learned a great deal about patience, persistence, humility, keeping a sense of humor, and Medicare…
As the Pastoral Care Minister, I look forward to serving our Lord and the SFC community more fully in our liturgies. It will be quite humbling as I walk with our parishioners and work alongside our volunteers. For this opportunity, I am truly grateful.
