Our Worship Space Renovations were funded through generous donations to the Love One Another Campaign. Pledges were made in 2022 and were for a 5 year commitment.
Our Saint Frances Cabrini worship space had not received any substantial updates since 2001. There was a need to invest in our worship space as the heart of our campus, making it a place of beauty that inspires, invites, and gives glory to God. Our renovations will provide a beautiful house of prayer for the next generation of our parish family. The renovation Includes a total artistic revision of the worship space centering on a colorful and dramatic new central mural of the majestic Christ surrounded by the Saints in Heaven, as well as two matching side murals that will replace our existing side devotional shrines. Also included are new, radius-style (curved) pews and seating for the entire worship space. The renovation also includes the replacement of flooring surfaces and of sanctuary furniture, music area updates, an addition of a communion rail, and other basic infrastructure upgrades.
The old pews were removed on May 7, 2023.
The new Pews were installed later in May and Masses returned to the main church on May 20, 2023.
The Crucifix was taken down from the worship space on August 2, 2023 and installed in its new space in the narthex on August 3, 2023
Artists at Conrad Schmitt Studios worked on painting the mural for over a year in the studio. Once complete, the mural was brought to the parish in 5 rolled pieces. Installation began October 30, 2023. The final touch ups were complete in January of 2024.

Here are a few pictures of the mural being installed...
The steps to the sancuary were completely redone and the old baptismal font was removed.
Old carpet was replaced with new tile down the main aisle and up onto the sactuary.
A communion rail was added to mark the importance of the sanctuary space.
The murals for the side altars were installed at the same time as the large mural.
The side altars were installed with the furniture in December.
One of the final steps in the renovation was to paint the walls on the sides of the sanctuary.
And add the scripture verse to send people forth...
The new furniture arrived in late October, 2023. It was set in place for the Christmas Masses.
On January 20th, our Pastor, Father Jacob Strand blessed the new items in the sanctuary (ambo, presider chair, tabernacle, crucifix, ambry)
